Business Travel Insurance

Do your business growth plans depend on you and your employees regularly engaging in domestic and even international travel? You can buy travel insurance to cover specific needs, such as medical emergencies, or trip interruptions. But more often, businesses buy comprehensive policies that include broad, primary coverage, which means your expenses will be taken care of regardless of your other insurance coverage, such as your health insurance or business liability insurance.

Travel policy prices can vary dramatically depending on the extent of coverage needed. Most comprehensive packages cost between five and 12 percent of the total trip cost. Age is also a factor. Rates go up for those over age 50.

The types of policies vary by state and not all insurance companies are licensed in every state. Note too that some types of travel coverage, particularly trip cancellation, may be reimbursed only – meaning, you’ll have to pay out of pocket and then submit paperwork and wait for your insurance company to pay off at a later date.

A comprehensive travel policy can be a valuable employee benefit and a good way to attract and retain top talent. It shows you care about the health and welfare of your trusted employees. It also protects your business from the potentially large financial losses that may occur if plans change or are interrupted, or if disaster strikes. Your business can pay for the coverage outright or the employee can purchase appropriate coverage on a per-trip basis and then get reimbursed by the company.

    5. You will be directed to a secure payment page where you can select your preferred payment method.
    6. Enter your payment details, such as credit card information or other applicable payment options.
    7. Review the payment summary to ensure accuracy, including the booking details, the amount to be paid, and any additional charges.
    8. Once you are satisfied with the information, click on the "Submit" or "Pay Now" button to complete the payment.
    9. After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation of payment, either on the booking platform or through an email.
